You should decide to take purposeful action early and be ready to stand by it later.
Knowledge: Learn everything about your quality so much that you will become an expert on yourself. Know your strength and weakness and what triggers them off, then consciously project your strength most of the time e.g. if you know you are an extrovert then take time to know and understand the things you will say very well. Then you will not be seen as nuisance but an expert. Ask questions, acquire knowledge and get out what you learn from others.
Self Improvement: You should seek to be informed about yourself and your environment, be disciplined and creative, these will put you a step before problems.

Have a Blueprint: Take time to draw out a master plan that will match the term, time and tone through which you want to take your talent (quality) through. It is very important to have a blue print on how, what, where and when you want to get things done, once it is advances, it must be adhered to strictly. But the exigencies of time will cause for some slight variation; it should be accommodated but massive distortion should not be allowed.
Have a Benchmark: Put a point on the “success meter of life” for each of your human endeavor which you will not be willing to fall below at a particular time in life e.g. in five years of working you may wish to be of level 3 of the “success meter” but to just be on level 2 in your marital life and then decide not to fall beyond these points but advance further in another two years. Set a high standard for yourself, be reputable for good things and have integrity, it makes your quality more manageable.

Develop the attitude of determination and positive desperation it will make you work harder towards reaching a new station in life. A positive attitude will lead you to a higher attitude always.
Time is Precious: Time is precious even more than money, once it is gone it will never be regain. Use it very well and be dynamic in you approach to issues, move with time so that you will not become antiquated, bound for the attic, do not become an equipment or person of no relevance. Move with time and be on time, have a sense of gauged urgency and move with time, sharpen it with training and skill.
Continuous Assessment: Intermittently you should endeavor to assess yourself and double check your achievement against your benchmark and your blue print to see that you are making good strides. It will afford you the opportunity to know where and when there are setbacks and how to change tactics or approach e.g. if your extrovert nature is causing constant problem in your home front despite advancing your managerial status, then you will have to do a balancing act in order to get back on track.
