In continuation of its efforts to contribute to the educational development of Nigeria, Viju Industries Limited has rolled out a scholarship promo in aid of children in Nigeria.
At the awards ceremony in Ikeja, Lagos recently, Viju promised to always support Nigerian children as a way of appreciating their support to the brand in the Nigerian market.
The first price of N1million was won by Vivian Ogagosa of Evangel Divine Academy, Warri, Delta State. The second price of N750,000 was won by Benjamin Eze a student of Imo State University while little Miss Favour Onyinye of Faith Reward International School, Ijesha, Lagos took the third prize of N500,000 in scholarships.
There were other consolation scholarship prizes in the range of N250,000, N100,000 and N50,000 given to several children.
Speaking on behalf of the winners, Benjamin Eze commended Viju for the scholarship initiative, saying the generosity of the brand has gone a long way to make his university education easier. Mr. Eze said initiatives like the one Viju is driving should be copied by other corporate bodies in Nigeria as a way of giving back to society and supporting the growth of education, especially among the indigent in the society.
