WINNER Pharmaceutical and Industrial Chemical Company organised a get together last week to raise the bar for African hair, saying that they have improved its hair care products, Zeel which is made for African hair. The firm brought in professional hair stylists to its Opebi, Ikeja office where they had a good time with women “who love to wear perm hair. Many said it was two-day of fun.
After cutting its independence cake specially prepared for Nigeria at 50, the staff and guests shared in the joy of the moment. Some of the products were sold at discounted prices. Those who bought Zeel Crème Relaxer had their hair retouched for free. “The response is overwhelming,” say Mr. Joseph Okpara who described the occasion as a day of testimony for the products launched a year ago.
He said: “Nigeria and our hair care products are worth celebrating. We have well researched, well balanced products with neutral ingredients from the country. You can see the number of people doing their hair. Some of the stylists have not had time to even eat”.
He added that “I am happy we were able to put smiles on the faces of women, young and not-too-old, who came here to see what we are doing. One of them told me, “I have never had my hair pampered like this all my life. We will extend the promotion to other areas of Ikeja, and moved to other places.”
Indeed, some women took turn to do their hair while others relax in the convivial atmosphere spiced with music and dance.
One of them, Mrs. Augusta Obi said: “I brought my daughter to take advantage of the promo. Already she uses Zeel Crème relaxer. It is not painful; it does not discolour hair and the price is normal.”
A hair dresser from Yaba, Lagos said Zeel is made for African hair.
The company has a complete range- from relaxer, treatment to setting. This is how you know a good product. Zeel, she said, is good for all type of hair, be it fine, medium or coarse hair.
