The University of Ibadan Dental Association has commended GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) makers of Macleans Toothpaste for providing Nigerians with strong teeth and fresh breath to promote their confidence level as well as create awareness on the need for conscious care of the oral cavity.
The University of Ibadan Dental Association has commended GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) makers of Macleans Toothpaste for providing Nigerians with strong teeth and fresh breath to promote their confidence level as well as create awareness on the need for conscious care of the oral cavity. The Association made this known at the Community on Dental Education Health (CODEH) program to advance Oral Hygiene in the society, held in Ibadan recently.
The premium toothpaste Brand partnered with the University of Ibadan Dental Association, one of the units of CODEH, to take a free screening exercise to Aleshinloye and Bodija Markets in Ibadan to sensitize the public on the need to develop a good habit of the care of the mouth.
Speaking at the Screening in Ibadan, Chairman Care-Taker Committee, Unibadan Dental Association, Chijioke Iwuala stated that, “dental profession has experienced neglect in the past. This has contributed to high cases of oral diseases in our society.” He explained that, the partnership with Macleans has immeasurably contributed to educating people on the ways to care for oral cavity.
“Not many people know the basic ways of caring for their oral cavity. Through this partnership, Macleans has helped to educate people, provide free medical care for cases during the screening, free sampling and logistics for the campaign to create awareness on the danger of the oral diseases,” he added.
Chijioke further disclosed that, Macleans has been supporting the Association’s dream to deliver society from the danger of oral diseases for the past three to four years. He stated that, “we have over the years discovered the unique confidence and cleanliness you get in using any of the Macleans variants; Herbal, Fresh Mint and Complete Care. Macleans has remained stead fast to developing and protecting people.”
