The People Democratic Party (PDP) has vowed to contest the governorship  election in Anambra State slated for February next year whether the Independent National Electoral Commission (Inec) likes or not. The party said at its 49th  National Executive Committee(NEC) meeting last week  that  PDP is the only one known in the state and therefore  very  confident that  the election would swing in its favour.

Mr. Babatunde Fashola, Lagos State governor, has called for a national policy that will compel the government of the Federation to sponsor free education in all the states of the country.

 Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, governor of Delta State, has assured the people of the state that the Asaba cargo airport under construction will be completed next year, even as he said the construction for the second runway of Osubi Airstrip had already started.
